At Sphere Petroleum's recent Board Meeting, held on 16 December 2008, the Board resolved that the resignation of Mr John Scott as technical director and Board member be accepted and that Mr Scott be thanked for his efforts and good work during his lengthy tenure with the company.

In April 2008, the awards of Blocks 1 and 5B in offshore Guinea Bissau were gazetted by the government.  The gazettal marks the formal start of the first phase of these permits.

At Sphere Petroleum's recent Annual General Assembly, held on 28 April 2008, the shareholders resolved that the resignations of Mr. Alexander Burns and Mr. Marcello Cardaci as directors are accepted
